While diagnostic and treatment options are comprehensive, the latest figures from the TFOS indicate that a diagnosis of “dry eye” is not often made. More attention to this condition, both in outpatients and in pre- and post-operative patients, will reduce the number of visits to an ophthalmologist and provide faster patient satisfaction.
